Does your FAFSA play any role in scholly $$$$?

I'm applying next cycle (2013-2014 cycle), and I was curious if the FAFSA I fill out will determine what, if any, money I get for scholarships? I've made good money and I know it wont impact loans, since I get them now for UG, but will it impact whether I will get any scholarship offers when I apply? I'd hate to be assed out of $$$$ because I made over a certain amount.

Some schools will not consider you for any aid (including merit) unless you file for fafsa. That being said, I am unsure about how that affects scholly money once filled out, though I would guess it would only effect you eligibility for need based, not merit based aid.

Some schools consider merit and need aid together. But conventional wisdom is that they are bullshitting and it just means merit aid.
