Tuition Increase in the future?

So how much tuition increase do you guys think are going to happen? with historical trends being what it is and the current economy..

It really depends on where you're going.

Schools in more expensive regions will be hit harder by inflation. Also, private schools' tuition will raise faster because they don't have to jump through government hoops.

To be it safe I would count on a 5-10% tuition raise per year.

damn. Economy seems to be improving (barely) but the legal market still seems like adam richman's toilet :/

I'd guess 5% because that's what it typically tends to be. May be even worse for the schools that are cutting their class sizes who think they have to make up the lost revenue by increasing tuition.

Since 2008, all three Oregon law schools increased tuition by over $8000. I don't know what the rest of the country looks like.

except where the state is having a severe budget crisis and school funding gets cut

The local law school in my area increased tuition 6% but they did lock it at that rate until 2016 and now charge the same for in-state/out-of-state.

A 3% yearly tuition increase is probably a reasonable and realistic assumption

that's not as bad as people say it was going to be .. still, no decrease in the near future makes me sad :/

oh man, that's really bad for in-staters as I'm assuming they increased tuition for both in-state and out-of-state ? what school if you don't mind sharing ?
