Ok y'all, so I saw a thread like this for ASW dates and for how people are notified of admissions decisions, but thought it might be useful to have one for when each school generally notifies people of scholarship awards, what schools they consider in negotiating, and how they will be notified. At work right now so can't fill this all in yet, but will slowly get to it. If you want to contribute I will be able to do this much faster, TYIA!

Hopefully this, the ASW dates, and the admission decision notifcation method threads will all become trends and continue for future application cycles 8)

Good idea. Michigan's come out a about 2-4 weeks after your admit decision (earliest admits wait a month, later in cycle it's 2-3 weeks) on the Admitted Students Website. Duke sends theirs beginning in late February in the order in which they received scholarship applications via Post Mail.

What is the basis for the "Awards From Other Schools They Consider" data? Where did you get this information from?

Just based on anecdotal evidence either IRL or from what others have posted on TLS. There will never be much published data for this, unless more schools follow Berkeley's lead and do "matching scholarship" programs and then list on their websites what schools they will compete with.

I hope to be able to get this all done over the weekend...doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in this, probably bc no one goes into the financial aid forum much lol.

i'm very interested! i think people don't come in here but posting links to this in the A/D/W forum should help.

That would be awesome, thanks twinkletoes! I've had your awesome threads bookmarked for awhile now, and they are what inspired me to create this thread.

Will have this all done this weekend, for sure (although I do need help from some HYS folks bc I applied everywhere but HYS and I know nothing about their scholarship policies).

Also, if anyone wants other schools added, outside of T14, just let me know!

NYU: Via email, 2-3 weeks after filling out Need Access and FAFSA (they don't even consider applicants for merit-based schollies without filling these out).

Updated, will also do a second list that sorts by date.

Still need info on: Yale, Harvard, Stanford, Northwestern, and Georgetown (they had that weird thing with scholarships this year...not sure if that is the new normal).

Michigan's scholarship letter specifically states that they do not negotiate their scholarships.

Is it still worth trying?
