I have a full ride but am thinking of taking a small loan to cover living expenses, around 15K for the full 3 years. Could I get this from the govt or would I have to go private. Also, for the govt loans does the interest start during law school or is it after you graduate. If you paid in full right after you graduate do you have to pay any interest.

You should get this through a stafford loan. No reason why you can't. Yes, interest accrues right away. So you'd still have to pay interest even if you paid it off in full after graduation.

Interest accrues in law school but doesn't capitalize until you graduate.
