What's the turnaround time on student loans?

Basically, what's the latest I can apply for my loans?
If I fill out the forms a week before orientation, is that cutting it too close?

Im wondering the same. also if I checked "not applying for financial aid" when I applied for the school, how quickly can I apply for a loan before orientation?
