Negotiating stips

I currently have a scholarship offer that is contingent on staying in the top 80%.
I want to have all stips removed, for comforts sake. How can I ask for this,as I don't have a better offer to leverage with? Also, does it look bad if I'm trying to negotiate such a generous scholarship?

If you are bottom 20% I expect you have bigger problems

+1

I'm considering my top 80% offers as guarantees. If I can't do that then I don't belong in law school.

Top 80% is a great stipulation honestly. If you don't meet it you should probably drop out, and the fact that it will cost you a boat load more should make that decision more obvious.

Obviously, I'd prob drop out if I was bottom 20 percent. I just like the fact that my scholarship is now Un-stipulated... all i did was ask them, and they agreeed
