so its all my fault but one of my schools deadline is march 2 and i havent started
1) do i have enough time for them to receive it by then?
2) they say if we submit AFTER the deadline we are just not eligible for federal perkins loan...which to my knowledge is for those with exceptional need. which i am not in that category..so would it not be THAT big a deal if im late?
thank you

Turn to TBS at 7 (6 central). Do your FAFSA. You'll be done by the end of the second Seinfeld.

Your parents have done/are doing/will be doing their taxes for 2011, so it should be available.

FAFSA never asked me for my parents' info since it's not undergrad. If you're applying somewhere that offers need-based (versus merit-based) scholarships/grants, then you'll need info from your folks. If you're just getting a Perkins, Graduate PLUS loan, etc., all FAFSA wants is your info.

thanks for the patient reply guys
1. wait... I thought loans are all need based? graduate PlUS, etc or not? my family is not by any means exceptionally in need. does that mean I don't really fit in need based? my fam is middle to upper middle.
sorry for the lack of knowledge.

No, you'll get PLUS loans no matter what your financial status is. (Unless you're sitting on a chair made of gold in a house made of gold...but even then...)
Just submit it with estimated info if you have to and correct it later. You're fine.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have a FAFSA related question. The fafsa only allows 10 schools to be selected, what if I need to include more schools?

This has been answered many, many times. Submit for 10 schools. Wait for email confirmation that it was accepted. Go back in and edit your list (delete/add schools). Submit again.

Wait. What?
Deadline? I already filed mine, but I'm still waiting on W2 form to update it to complete accuracy. Problem?

Some schools have deadlines to get all your financial aid stuff in. NU, for example, wants FAFSA, NeedAccess, and two supplemental essays by March 1.
Check the financial aid webpage for each school you're looking at.
