Hm. I wish I could help. Might be worth just calling them though. That way, it can give you face time with the peoples inside admissions.

Wouldn't it qualify for just about any LRAP?
Don't they usually include govt work? Isn't the military part of the exec branch?

I would really look into schools with solid Yellow ribbon programs (YRP). I dont know what your numbers are, but some schools, like Harvard and Cornell, as well as many lower ranked ones, offer solid opportunities for assistance. A google search on YRP should take you to I believe the VA websie, and that will give you some good options to consider. Most schools offer at least 3k, which combined with the VAs contribution, will give you 6k you can spend not on a loan.
