So, I just tried to apply for federal loans, and it won't let me sign the MPN because the name they have for me is off by one letter (clearly a typo), when compared to the name on my PIN.

What is my recourse? Just call and tell them about this error?

Will this prevent my getting loans in a timely manner?

Just call them. I had a similar problem, and they took care of it in no time. Shouldn't cause a problem with disbursement since it's several months away
