Hey, I have a quick question regarding financial aid. I am attending George Mason Law in the fall and after going over the paperwork, I am questioning whether to accept the GradPlus loan. My parents are willing to help me out with living expenses but I was wondering if turning down aid will mean the financial aid office thinks that I don't need aid in the future. Has anyone experienced this?

Yes, and I received the same offer of grad plus loans in year 2 & 3. Also received same grants, etc.

no. If you need more money at any time in your law school experience- just go to financial aid and talk to the counselor. If you dont need the grad plus loan, dont take it. It will always be an option, you just have to go apply for it if and when you need it.

The school can apply for you. They often do if your financial need can't be met in other ways.
