negotiation verbiage

Post by solarae » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:40 am

is it proper to say that another school is "higher ranked" when doing negotiations, or is it generally the case that the admissions person you are speaking with will already be aware of where they stand in relation to these other schools?

This is regarding a school which did not make top 145, another school which didn't make top 145, and a third school which made like #120. So I may need to mention that school 1 and 2 are peer schools, and school 3 is "higher ranked" ??

dont say higher ranked. say things like "great law schools" "well regarded," etc.
