Questions about GULC LRAP/ Cornell PILIPP

After reading about various LRAP programs I was wondering what happens if you are in qualified PI employment for X number of years and then you leave it or are let go. How long do you have to get back in the program to fufill the 10 year forgiveness program at GULC? I was concerned about TLS's point that if you don't work the full 10 years you could wind up with the same or more debt than originally incurred. How does this compare with Cornell's PILIPP program?
