Unfortunate, given I was hoping to get at least something. Any other in the same boat?

I'm not even in at GULC, but does that mean what I think it does? Is that like the understudy to a scholarship recipient?

I'm in this boat as well. I'll be visiting GULC soon and will try to get some information on this Alternate designation to help calibrate my expectations (i.e. Is it new this year? If not, how many offers and for how much were made to Alternates in prior years, if any?). I'll post here what I find out.

I believe its just a waitlist for their scholarship.

I received a $35k per year scholarship this week after being designated an Alternate in early March. The offer came after I requested last week to be considered earlier due to a competing offer expiring 4/4.

What's considered a great scholarship offer from GULC?

I'm curious as to how many people will accept their offers form the first round. I believe they have until the end of next week to decide.

I'm curious too. I've been receiving steady email correspondence from them regarding how much would they would have to offer to get me to go there. I tossed in 30k a year guaranteed from UCLA and USC and cited LA native, higher cost of living in DC blahblah. Hopefully they give me something similar that I can leverage against NU & Duke and back against UCLA/USC
