I had to file BK, so now I am told that PLUS loans are no longer available to me without a co-signor. What should I do? Get parents to loan me a few bucks or have them co-sign? How complicated is the co-sign thing and are they on the hook for everything?

It's not complicated at all, but yes, they'e on the hook for the whole loan if they co-sign.
