What's a typical financial aid package for $70K?

Stafford loans have limit -- so is it possible to stuff the sticker price and living cost that amount to $70K from just loans? Or will law schools give out grants (not to be paid back) or merit scholarships to help when I can't take out the whole amount in loans? What are typical $70K financial aid packages like?

Thanks.

Most of the time, you will not be able to cover everything with Stafford loans and grants (unless, of course, you have a full scholarship or something). Many people cover the difference with either Grad PLUS loans or private loans. Be careful with the private loans since they are not eligible for IBR.

Finally, your aid package will vary widely from school to school. Here's a sample from the University of Akron and one from Harvard.

Stafford loans up to the limit, and Grad Plus loans for the remainder.
