Negotiating merit aid success (and failure) stories

Post by LHC » Thu Jan 20, 2011 10:16 pm

This post is super helpful in it's tips on how to negotiate aid: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 22&t=79373

I think it'd also be helpful if there were one place w/ actual stories of people how have negotiated aid with the results. How exactly did you do it (e-mail, phone call, in person at admit weekend, etc), what was the leverage, and what were the results?

I'm working on a school right now... it's not going well.

Could someone post the format of what the second email should be like.
The first is basically 'who should i talk to'

then the second should be the actual negotiation... what should it say?
