Need Access question- divorced parents

According to the instructions both parents information is required for this form even if they are divorced (in which case you fill out the parent form and non-custodial parent form). I am not in communication with my father and therefore do not have any of his information nor any way of getting his information for the "non-custodial parent" form. Do I just not submit it or do I have to call each school specifically and explain my situation? Do I call schools even if they haven't notified me of an acceptance decision?

Explain just to be safe; I did and it worked out fine. The school understood it.

Thanks for the advice. So when you guys submitted the Need Access sans "non-custodial parent" section did you wait to contact schools until you heard an admissions decision, or did you just called them all to explain in advance? Thanks again, it is really comforting to know that other people in similar situations weren't held back by it.

I didn't even go that far. I put his name and for address, "No contact, unable to obtain"
