Top Law Schools

call me a tard, but in college you would apply separately for stafford loans and private loans at your financial institution of choice. I did the process at studentloans.gov (counseling + MPN) but don't see an option to apply for the stafford loan there, or at any bank website. Does this mean its just going to be automatically done w/ my financial aid office or am I missing something here? Thanks for the help in advance
