Interest in Public Interest

I'm working on my personal statement right now and I'm wondering how writing about my interest in public interest law will effect the amount of scholarship money I'm offered. Will it help? Hurt? Or is it irrelevant? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You should repost this in the PS forum. That said, I would only recommend writing about your interest in PI work if you have a demonstrated background in a PI field and you want to pursue law school as a way to allow you to work in that field (or some related PI field) at a more profound level.
