Financial Aid acceptance and Waitlists

hello everyone,

I had a few questions about financial aid - sorry if this has already been asked or if it sounds stupid, just forgive me and help me out haha.

Now I am accepted at a school and was given the financial aid a grant and the rest loans. I am also on 6 other waitlists at schools higher ranked that I would love going to. I don't know if I should call the financial aid b/c I don't want to sound like I would drop the school - I was accepted off a waitlist at this school too.

If I accept the financial aid loans, what happens at the new school? Do they give me a new package or do the loans go from school to school ...idk if that makes sense. So if I take X amount in loans from X schools do I have to pay it/cancel it and then get Y amount of loans from the Y school? I'm just confused about this financial aid - basically what happens if I get off a waitlist mid August and I'm willing to relocate to a new school?

I don't know for sure, but I am pretty sure that the original loans can be canceled and you will simply have to reapply for new loans based on the new financial aid package.
