Insurance coverage between job/UG and LS

Maybe this isn't the best forum for this but - I'm quitting my job and will have about 2 months of no health insurance.

I'm assuming you can rely on COBRA which is (was?) retro-active, until your student insurance starts up... but have things changed with "Obamacare"? I have no clue when/how the student insurance kicks in and need more info.

BC/BS? That's what I'm doing in school. I'm not paying for full-blown coverage I'll never use.

Blue Cross / Blue Shield, probably emergency-only single payer coverage.

Blue Cross / Blue Shield. Student insurance ends up being about $150 a month. I can get basic medical coverage for half that from BC/BS.

BC/BS is $75/month for you? I know insurance costs vary widely by state, but I'd like to know how much coverage you get, so I can look into this.

Here you go. Coverage isn't fantastic, but I don't really go to the doctor much.

$10K deductible is $68 a month, $5K is $87 a month, and $3500 is $98 a month.

Or I can just do hospitalization coverage for $50 a month.

Nevermind, though. I misread the student health insurance plan, it's much cheaper than I thought it was.

hmmmm... do you mean you're doing this just over summer?

My predicament is what to do for the 2 months or so I'm out of a job but also not a student yet :?

BC/BS has a cheap temporary insurance plan. You can only do it for up to 6 months, but it's decent coverage for cheap.
