March 1 Deadlines

Post by kalvano » Fri Feb 26, 2010 5:12 pm

How am I supposed file a FAFSA and get it in by a March 1st deadline when I don't have any tax information for this year yet?

I can't reuse last years, it's drastically different.

You should already have your W2. That is what you'll need to fill out the 1040a. Is there a hold of your W2? If so, maybe note that you are forced to estimate.

My taxes are fair-to-moderately complicated. I can't just estimate.

My accountant won't have them done until mid-March.

Estimate and then correct once you have info back. I am in a similar situation. That really is all you can do as far as I know

SS administration told me I had to come in person for any information about it, once there in person they say they have no update and it could take up to 12 weeks..... Basically go away and wait. Then I get it in the mail today, 3 days after I was told the above...
