FAFSA allows for 10 school codes, what to do with the extras
I submitted my FAFSA last week with 9 schools selected, and have since added 3 schools. What do I do?

Once you get your SAR email from FAFSA, go and send in a corrected FAFSA deleting the original 9 schools and adding the other 3 without changing any other info. Once you submit the correction, you are good to go.Bobalou wrote:I submitted my FAFSA last week with 9 schools selected, and have since added 3 schools. What do I do?

And then all 12 will get reports?

Can anyone confirm that this is the way to do it?

I can confirm, as all 19 schools I have applied to have received my FAFSA.IHaveDietMoxie wrote:Can anyone confirm that this is the way to do it?

This is a great thread, I've been meaning to call a financial aid office about this.
I just submitted my FAFSA a few days ago. I'll need to see when I get the response (or if I have it) and then redo it for the other schools.

I have 10 schools but can't seem to add anymore when I go to add/delete schools. I can only delete schools...

From what I understand in this thread:trojanfan06 wrote:I have 10 schools but can't seem to add anymore when I go to add/delete schools. I can only delete schools...
You complete FAFSA for the 10 schools, then you wait until you get some sort of response that the report is complete.
Then you go back in, delete the 10 schools, and add 10 more. You, again, will get a response for the completed report.
My understanding, from this thread, is that once the report is complete, FAFSA sends it to the schools on the list. So the first 10 will get it the first submission. The schools you then add to the list, by deleting the first ones, will get the reports when you submit the modified FAFSA.

I had the same problem. When I spoke to FAFSA, they said to submit all ten and when you receive your summary stating the FAFSA had been received, log back into your account to make corrections, delete the schools that you submitted and re-enter the remaining schools you left out the first time.
Don't worry about the schools you delete not receiving your FAFSA, every submitted FAFSA will be received by the school codes you list. I was nervous the first time I did it, but it seems to have worked just fine.
