Just wondering if anyone could clarify what this question on the Need Access form is asking?

Retirement Contribution in Assets (Help ID: c65)
Enter the amount of your 2009 tax year contribution to retirement account(s) you have included in your retirement assets.

Where on the form does it ask me about "retirement assets"? Is a 401K plan considered a retirement asset? And does this question mean something like how much of the current value of your 401K comes from your contributions to the account in 2009?

I am no expert but if it asks about 'contributions' then it is not asking about current value. I think there is probably another question somewher that aasks how much is your total retirement assets. And this question is asking how much you contributed in 2009. So if you have a 100,000 total and you put in 10,000 last year then the answer would be 10,000.
