How much need-based aid can I expect from UC Davis, Hastings

So,

I know everyone's FAFSA is different, and I daresay confidential. Still, does anyone have any idea how much need-based $ is distributed, empirically? (Davis and Hastings and UCLA 1Ls, 2Ls, 3Ls, feel free to chime in here :) )

I received around 15 grand in schollies and grants here at UC Davis undergrad, and earned around 8,000. [EDIT: Nobody claims me as a dependent; I am a 37 y.o. non-trad]

I hear that Davis and Hastings are good with need-based aid, but does anyone know what I might expect from these schools in need-based aid?

Even info. on averages would be helpful, at a minimum.

You're talking about need based grants, right? My impression is that schools in this range generally give very little, if any, need based grants, just loans.

Yeah, sorry, grants.
My question stems from two things: (1) The fact that these schools have used need-based aid more than they do merit-aid (which isn't hard since apparently the latter is next to nothing!); and (2) a 2-year-old school profile here on TLS citing $11,500 as the average need-based grants for students.

So, I guess I'm fishing for a good answer since I was po'boy last year (undergrad scholarships notwithstanding),and I want more reasons to stay here in CA for LS.
