So I did my FAFSA and Need Access forms last night, and what a joy they were. As expected, my EFC was 0. Knowing that financial aid for law school is near non-existent...does someone with an EFC of 0 actually get good aid or does this not really matter?

Congrats on getting an EFC of 0. Mine was around $12K, which I'm assuming is because I'm not in school and have been working for more than a full year. Does anyone know how much the EFC actually counts? Cause for damn sure I won't have that much cash on hand when it comes to August.

Well, there's no federal grant money for law school, so EFC isn't a huge deal. It may affect how much subsidized loan money you get v. unsub.

Or how much institutional need-based aid you may receive.

I am curious about this too. Although FAFSA EFC and institutional EFC for law school may be much different. Most Law schools look at your parents' info. So if theirs isnt 0 too there can be a huge discrepancy.
