Does anyone know how the receipt of a scholarship affects the potential for grants? I have received substantial scholarship offers from several schools. At the same time, I am in a financial position that would normally warrant the receipt of grants as well. Will the school look at the scholarships I have been offered and lower the amount of grants they offer, or are grants normally awared based on need, like Pell Grants?

check their financial aid website. if you are in dire financial need, outside scholarships shouldn't decrease your eligibility for pell grants. pell grants really don't cover that much anyway, even if your EFC is 0.
