I scored a 165. 10 point increase from October. Completely new outlook on life.

166 in October. I was practicing around 170, so the 166 is about where I thought I'd wind up on the real thing. I'm fairly happy with it.

what range of schools are you applying to?

I'm hoping to land somewhere in the top 18.

T20 would be nice. Just got into UT, so that's probably going to be it. Couldn't be happier.

163.

Not very happy b/c I haven't scored that low on a PT in a very long time. Plus, I missed 5 of the first 6 questions in section one (misdiagrammed a rule on LG) and forgot to bubble in two on LR (that I knew). I am a little relieved that I still came out with a 163 considering the huge screwups, but I'm definitely retaking in February and am still going to expect a 165-168.

163! 7 point increase from October, and right at my PT average (although I never scored a 163 on my PTs, and my high was a 169).

I'm happy with it. Would have preferred to break 165, but I'll take it.

169. I'm a little disappointed because i missed 3 in LG, but I can't complain. And UT is also my dream school, as you can tell by my name.

159...significant drop from my PT avg of 167 so I'll be sitting out of law school for a year and retaking in June.

161. Not happy yet not upset. I'll keep studying while applications are out and reapply in June if I don't get in anywhere.

Congrats on the 170! I'd be happy just to crack into the 70's. How much higher do you expect to get than that?

161, after reviewing my exam I made some stupid mistakes and I only finished three games, but I'm content with my score and I worked hard to get it.

I was pt ing at175 172-178 and I made some really stupid mistakes on actual. 4 hours of sleep didn't time my self and finished way early and way late Now I'm taking the test in my home town instead of crossing Texas. So I hope these are not just excuses and actual made me score badly. I could always cancel feel free to message me and I'll tell you what works for me study wise. Though I didn't score high enough to really give advice

168, which was disappointing since I was PTing in the 171-174 range.

Still praying it's enough for HYS.

I got a 161 with a 3.48 LSDAS UGPA. I'm also Mexican-American. I wasn't very confident and thus only applied to schools in the T20-T50 range and got some acceptances with scholarships. However, now I'm wondering if I actually could have done even better (like UCLA, USC, Cornell, etc.). I'm hoping to do public interest work, so I need a school that would be affordable (with/without scholarships). I'm also not sure if the job prospect difference is worth it considering the type of work I plan to do. So, now I'm considering applying to higher-ranked schools this upcoming fall and not going to any of the school I got into for next year. I definitely won't take the LSAT again. Also, I probably don't have a good reason to defer, so I probably will give up my chances at the schools I got into this year. I realize that applying again next year carries with it some risk. So, what does anyone think? Is it worth it with my current numbers to wait and try again next year? I would really appreciate brutally honest and candid responses. Thanks!

JR14, Im just curious as to what schools you were accepted/waitlisted at??? I have a similar gpa and I am also URM like yourself. I just want to get an idea on the type of schools I can get into with a similar LSAT score as yours. Thnx

I'm pretty sure everyone will give you the same advice. Get the Powerscore Bibles and every Official Test you can afford. Repetition is key.

Also, taking a class is more like $1000 and if your shooting for a moderate to significant increase it is probably worth the price. But you have to do research and find the best company and teacher for you. Your LSAT score could very well determine your earning power and career for the rest of your life. Don't half ass it.
