Top Law Schools

I'm not sure if this is allowed. Does anyone know of other forums for URMs? It doesn't seem like there's much traffic here.

There are Other TLS's on the internet which aren't too hard to find, along with Reddit. The former are about as good as this site and Reddit sucks but both are probably worth combing if you want as much as information as possible.

Unfortunately, traffic on forums generally is down in the past decade, and this hits niche/minority groups especially hard. The percentage of people who regularly post, relative to total views, also seems to be down. But there are still some knowledgeable and helpful people left in 2020.

Why does reddit suck?

The Reddit upvote/decay system of prioritizing content just doesn't gel with high-quality advice and discussion. You'll notice that those few subreddits that do manage to produce relatively-high-quality discussion (e.g., AskHistory) are very heavily-moderated in order to achieve this. /r/lawschooladmissions is a shitshow because memes and feel-good bombast drown out whatever useful advice might actually exist there.

Reddit is also especially bad for URM discussion because, again, its voting system favors content that appeals to the common denominator. Maybe a small, well-moderated, URM-focused subreddit could be useful but I'm pretty sure none exists at the moment.

Reddit's higher level of activity makes it good for getting up-to-date headlines (e.g., that this or that school is making admit calls to its waitlist today), to be fair, so it's not totally useless.

If you are familiar with the facebook meme group for law students, there is an associated URM-only offshoot that may be an acceptable venue for posting questions (to my understanding I've seen some 0L posts). That said, they probably would be less bearish on going to law school overall than one should be, given circumstances.
