I got into several T14s with a 2.85/172 Native American, went to one of MVP. Also got rejected from plenty of lower-ranked schools. Granted, this was 8 years ago, so it's been a long time. But my advice would be to apply broadly because your results will be unpredictable, and don't count yourself out of anywhere.

With your GPA I would say that you definitely need to get a 170+ to have a chance

Thanks for the advice. I would assume NA gives a little more pull than MA but not sure. I'll be spending a small fortune in application fees but worth it.
