So I was reading an amicus brief submitted by LSAC for the Fisher v University of Texas case and I came across the following table on page 21.

Applicants in the 165+ LSAT/3.5+ UGPA Range

2010 7,789 63 (0.81%) 236 (3.03%)
2009 6,276 57 (0.91%) 160 (2.55%)
2008 5,691 42 (0.74%) 129 (2.27%)
2007 5,837 43 (0.74%) 141 (2.42%)
2006 5,950 47 (0.79%) 150 (2.52%)

As you can see it has the number of applicants with at least a 3.5 and 165 lsat score, and the number of Black and Hispanic applicants who fit this criteria from 2006-2010, the source is LSAC, something called the national decision profile. I cannot access the data. I imagine it is for law school admissions people only. I was wondering if anyone had any more recent data or could take an educated guess on how many Black/Hispanic applicants fit this criteria in 2015-2016, would it be more or less?

Interesting numbers. I will note that in 2010 the overall number of law school applicants was at 87,900 whereas last year it was only 56,200. I do not know if that would make a difference in the number of Black/Hispanic with 165+/3.5+ but I imagine that these numbers would stay relatively the same at worst, and decrease at best.

It's not exactly what you are looking for, but it has some interesting data in terms of the avg. GPA and high LSAT for URM applicants, admits, and matriculants

For 2014 the avg. GPA for black applicants, admits, and matriculants was 2.97, 3.08, and 3.11, respectively.
High LSAT was 145, 149, 149, respectively

These numbers are so....on one hand it's like wow based on these averages i'm doing pretty alright for myself! But on the other hand it's like WOW this entire system is really messed up for URMs. Kinda depressing.

I feel the exact same way. From a personal standpoint I'm totally okay with it because it helps me, but looking at it in its totality is extremely depressing

also would like to point out that Fall 2015 the T14 took a total of 366 Hispanics and 291 AAs. I would assume that if you were either URM with a 165+ and a 3.5+, you are a guaranteed a spot in a T14.

Now all that is left is the scholarship aid lol

So assuming you have an average black GPA (3.0) and an LSAT that was between 160-165, what do you guys think they could reasonably expect? Top 20 school? maybe T-14? just curious
