You published 8 papers and have an LSAT score that low? You might just want to hold off on law school and retake the LSAT because the LSAT is pretty easy to learn.

If you have a problem with a post just ignore or report it, there's no need to snark.

Based on myLSN you have a shot with H but the problem is the sample size is too small. I went back to 2009 and only found about 3 people with your stats. Personally, I'm not sure you have a score since you posted a range; it seems like you are PT'ing in that range. In that case, I think if you got 168+, you might have a strong chance with H. Y and S are blackboxes from what I hear, and I think other TLSers will also say likewise. Good luck OP!

With a 165+, youd have a very good chance at Harvard. With a 167+, you'd probably have slightly less than coin toss's chance at Y, too. I don't know about S, though.

Hard to tell with limited info from mylsn but anecdotally I think you're in at H, reasonable chance at Y and S, but still retake.

Great shot at H and S, not too sure about Y but a decent shot, not great though. If you're gunning for Y, retake and try to get at least a 170. I'm an AA male who attended H for undergrad, a few friends of mine (all AA) applied last cycle with numbers that were somewhat similar to yours, all got H and S, but all were either wl'd or dinged at Y. While a disproportionate amount of students that attend HYS were HYPS undergrads, YLS didn't give a shit that my friends were H undergrads, none of them got in, there was no "ivy league" boost to go along with the URM boost. The only AA that I know of from my social circle that got Y had a 175 and 3.94. Anyways I digress, you're bound to have a great cycle, good luck!

It was my fault, I read it as asking purely for Yale. I think OP has a decent shot at Harvard, below 25% shot at Stanford and Yale is a black box but that LSAT is way too low even for a URM, so very likely little to no chance at Yale. My bad.

Ah, gotcha. No worries.

You read it correctly you just entered more years than I did. The problem with that method is that 2006's results may not reflect 2016 -2017 results - look at how people are complaining about this year being more difficult for splitters. Maybe it remains more stable for URMs but I'd like to be a bit more careful if I were OP to guarantee my results that I want.

Be careful about over extrapolating from the data on mylsn.. You're pretty much a lock for Harvard on down but as others have said, YLS is a black box, they reject AA's with your stats all the time. One of my good friends, an AA male had a 3.97 gpa from Harvard to go along with a 169 LSAT, he also had very strong softs and LORs, including one from an HLS prof, yet YLS gave no fucks and he got a straight ding, not even a WL. Just apply, work hard on your 250 and see what happens.
