I would think even 2-3 points higher and you have a strong chance at Yale, but with your currents stats and URM status you are an extremely strong candidate already.

agreed but getting over that 170 hump and as long as OP writes a coherent application, he/she is in.

UChi doesn't have a NA student group. I know a student here is working on that. We're pretty small, which something to do with it. We also have a Latino student group that is very active.

Apply as early as possible for best results.

I am a registered citizen of a tribal nation. My LSAT is similar. My GPA is lower. BA in History from HYSP.

I submitted my application in mid-to-late January. I was informed by some schools that had I applied sooner I would have received more favorable results.

I am currently set to attend UCLA on a reasonable scholarship. I am still on the waitlist/reserve list at Michigan and Columbia.

PM me for more details if you want.

Honestly, law school is a numbers game. You might get a very tiny bump for the addendum, or it may put your application in a slightly better light, but you are so competitive as it is that I think the difference will only be marginal. Obviously writing it, if done well, can only help add a positive perspective.

However, I'm not an admissions officer and Native American candidates with high scores are so rare that this is really just an educated guess from everything I've read, so take it with a grain of salt.
