Did anyone else receive a Yale packet inviting them to apply bc of their minority status? I read all of the advice and personal statement examples in the packet. I am seriously thinking about applying.

I did and just received an email last night. Wasn't even thinking about applying, but now I'm considering going for it even though it'll much later than all my other apps.

Eh. Bye bye $95

I have been working on my 250. I have written three and just keep changing my mind. The sample essays seemed to give me some direction though. I am thinking about taking an excerpt from my rough diversity statement instead of submitting a diversity statement. I hope that my application doesn't seem to amateur in compared to other applicants. I have no clue what I am doing!

Ya I think I'm going to shorten my DS into the 250 as well. Otherwise I feel like 4 addenda would be a bit excessive :P I'm sure your application will be great, Bowie Chicken! You are not at all alone in the "I have no idea what I'm doing" crowd :o

ETA: I think I'll always wonder what would have happened if I didn't apply so I think the 95$ is worth not wondering.

I received the packet as well but had already applied. Have to say it was pretty comprehensive. Go Yale.

I also don't want to wonder what if. I have spent the last few days reading the blogs and changing one word here and there a thousand times! Good luck to all of you!

You should definitely apply. Much better to do it and know instead of never applying and wondering "What if?". Go for it!
