2.85 GPA, Finance/Econ degree, aiming for Law School?

AA male,
2.85 GPA (final GPA on undergrad transcript but I transferred schools), double-major in Finance and Economics. No excuse for the low-grades but my mom (single mom, no siblings) had cancer throughout my undergraduate career and my main focus was on taking care of her throughout chemo and other treatment, so admittedly my grades suffered). I have two-years of experience as a credit analyst/underwriter at a well-known bank. I'm not sure how much weight that would hold in the admissions process.
I'm taking the LSAT soon, what score should I target to give me a shot at getting into a decent school? Will my previous experience hold any weight regarding admissions? I want to work in the Northeast. What schools should I aim for?
