Even if they mail you things regarding LGBT, can't you just pass it off saying they're trying to show you how open and accepting the school is and it's not necessarily pertaining to you specifically?

I checked the box last year and there were definitely LGBT specific mailings that arrived as a result. To the best of my memory, though, they all came in nondescript law school envelopes (not bright rainbow postcards or anything).

That having been said, there's no real advantage to checking the box for LSAC. If you want a tiny boost or to learn more about schools' LGBT programs/environments, just make sure it's mentioned as part of your application (be it an application check-box or as part of a PS/DS).
