Hello all, just wanted to get some feedback on setting my sights and moving forward in the application process. I recently got my scores back from the June LSAT and got a 159. I am a 30 year old AA Male who graduated in 2005 with a 3.1 UGPA. My softs are pretty solid, I worked for 2 years for Child Protective Services after graduation before going to get my Masters in Education from Kansas. I graduated from there with a 3.9 GPA and have been working for 5 years in College Administration.

I would love to hear thoughts on if I will be competitive within the T20 schools and if my softs will be able to push me up a bit and make up for a less than ideal UGPA.

I'd also bank on getting some leniency for your extensive work experience.

If you want to go to a T20, your best bet is to retake the LSAT. You might be able to get into some at sticker now, but there's no way it would be worth attending.

Retake is necessary. Despite URM, still gotta overcome that GPA. Master's GPA doesn't count in LSAC computations. What sort of study did you do to prepare? Texts? Did you check out the prep forum here?

Thanks for the site, I had not seen that one yet. Gives me some more insight.

i'd retake and aim for a 162-165... from all the adversity you've faced in life, successfully completing an additional 3-7 questions should be nothing. If done, I think you have a strong chance of getting into schools that a mere AA, or gay, quality (not sure if this is the correct term, but just roll w it), by itself, would not get you into.
