Not to be that guy, but as an AA with solid stats your goal should be T14 or bust. With just a few more points on the LSAT I think you'd be looking at money also. Retake when you're scoring 165+ on PTs, reapply, and you'll be happy you did this time next year. Good luck!zim5354 wrote:Hey all, I need some input. I scored a 161 on my previous LSAT, putting me at the 83%. I was wait listed and denied at most of the T-20, and admitted to a single T-20. I retook in June and got a 164 placing me in the 90% (barely lol).
My stats: 161/upper 150s/164 (3rd retake).
My GPA is a bit south of a 3.5.
AA Male, from a rural state probably underrepresented in academia.
I've been trying to get off the WL at most of the T-20 throughout the summer. I don't know if I should continue to try to get off the WL, or reapply next year
If I were to reapply I would study French for 7-9 months at a French university. My GPA was mostly brought down by my foreign language course grades, I figure studying in France and writing an addendum would help. But there's the cost of taking a year off, and I'm worried I wouldn't do much better next cycle due to such a small improvement.
Kind of vague for anonymity.
I would love to retake, my PT scores were much higher than my real ones. But I've took the exam 3 times, to retake I'd have to wait 2 years...and I don't know if that's an option.Nucky wrote: Not to be that guy, but as an AA with solid stats your goal should be T14 or bust. You should wait and retake. I know 2 years seems like a long time but it's really not. Get a job, do something interesting like Peace Corp, Teach for America, teach English overseas, etc. Having more work/life experience and a higher LSAT score will be great for you. You are an AA male and can score mid-160s with a 3.5 GPA. Honestly, get some experience, bump your score up and you should be T14 with big money, maybe even HYS if you score high enough.zim5354 wrote:I would love to retake, my PT scores were much higher than my real ones.
