International URM JD Applicant

Hello Everyone!

I am currently applying to some US Law Schools from Australia. I am an Australian Citizen with honours from one of the best Unis here.

I have been evaluated with "above average" in my bachelor ACCRAO assessment but have a low LSAT score - 21st percentile. I think I have good references and a well laid out resume with good volunteer and part time work experience.

I am gay and I have two mental disabilities all of which I put in my applications to certain law schools.

What do people think of International URM in law applications to the US?

Any help would be beneficial to this.

Are you Black/Mexican/Puerto Rican/Native American? If not, then you're not an URM.

Many thanks for this

I am not either of those so I guess I can't apply on equity and merit?

Perhaps I should re do the LSAT and re train for it.

You won't be considered an URM by most law schools if you're not the above races. As for a re-take, you definitely should. Law school is not likely to be a good investment from any school you can get into with a 21st percentile LSAT.
