To those that told me to absent or postpone, I did for the December one. My issues on my points is mainly my RC (I read too slow, only seem to get to 3 passages) and I have an issue with mainly 2S (all the time), 2N sometimes, and Flaw questions.. (i'm picking the wrong answer though I know it, I don't know if i'm picking for the author's voice or the direct terminology of the flaw being picked). I know some here are not going to start teaching me, but are there any books? or a tutor I could hire (I live in the Los Angeles area..) just would love to know, thanks again. Hope all is well, keep hustling.. ( I am a minority, black American male, went to a good undergrad..)

For increasing reading speed especially, the one thing that I can't recommend enough is to read as much high level material as you have time to. Sites/magazines/newspapers like the NY Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Economist, Scientific American are all great places to start and are generally free as well. The key is to read as much dense, LSAT-like material as you can so that you're used to RC style passages.

RC is, unfortunately, one of the harder parts of the LSAT to improve on, but it can be done. I used the Manhattan book to help me identify question types and found it relatively helpful, but much like with logic games, I can imagine there being diminishing returns if the underlying speed isn't there.

I'm a bit out of practice at talking about specific question types at this point, so I'll leave your question about that to someone more qualified to answer.

Also the LSAT Prep forum on this site has several people who have created successful LSAT prep materials that post regularly, so definitely check out the advice there.

TLDR;

Read as much dense material as you can for speed and understanding, and maybe try the Manhattan RC book.

You guys are ridiculous.

I'm afraid I won't be very helpful. But MoMetta is definitely right. Read. Every day. You have time. If not, make time. The Economist, New Yorker, and Scientific American are great. I'd also hunt down some well-regarded nonfiction or high-end magazines in subject areas you aren't familiar with. That way you have to challenge yourself to grasp the basic concepts--you are forced to engage more deeply because if you miss anything you won't understand the rest of the chapter. Whether its neuroscience or critical race theory, just find something and actively attempt to learn something--and do it as quickly as possible.
I'd also figure out the primary question types in RC and apply them to those Economist, etc. articles if you can. You should definitely ask yourself about the purpose of the article and what claims the author would be likely to agree with and...all the rest. I really couldn't name them all. Hell, I don't even know what 2S and 2N are. Is that related to RC??

RC is the hardest section to improve on. We all read in our own way and have for years, so our habits are hard to break. If you need to read faster, the only thing to do is practice. I've heard great things about the LSAT prep here. Use it. And read. All day, every day.

I'm averaging about a 154-158, without even doing a Reading comprehension passage. I usually just focus on 3 of them and let the other ones go D(As in DDDDDD,). I am decent at everything else besides 2S (Which are sufficient questions, like I feel like I forgot the entire concept of them, and i'm told they are easy..) I also am hit or miss on 2N (necessary type questions, I can get the ones with a blatant new word in the conclusion, but the ones that don't, i'm lost...) on Flaw I seem to miss them 1/2 the times, I don't see it or something. Everything else I'm good on, and with games I am at -2, or -4 depending on time, but even when I mess up, I'm at a -5, so that's my strongest I guess.

Also, the homie that said' he'd teach me, email me your rate. I'll take a job at a night club or something for the next 2 months if you'll teach me. I have my resolve, and I know I have to get in the law game.

No shade at mojo, but if you're going to pay for a teacher, I recommend you hire a professional one, or ask someone who has officially scored in the 98+th percentile.

Depending on how much time you have to retake I would recommend using only LSAT material. REVIEW the texts using LSAT forums with discussions of the text. Draw scales diagrams, review arguments and reasoning structures etc...
You will start seeing patterns and having a feel for what parts of the text you might be tested on.
