If I can finish UG with a 3.0, what LSAT score would I

need to be competitive at schools such as NYU and UVA? I am a Canadian AA male, and from reading the forums it seems as though these schools would need around the 170 range if I've read correctly. Currently scoring 156 and am writing the LSAT in June or October of 2014.

just shoot for a 170 and see where that takes ya.
law school acceptance are a lot less predictable now than it was 2-3 years ago with the applicant numbers declining. you would not believe how desperate schools are...

I don't think a Canadian would receive the same boost as an AA. There still would be some urm boost but I would be surprised if it were a lot.

Although the sample size is really small, from what Ive seen, being of African descent is sufficient for the AA boost.

Flash, 165+ would give you a decent shot at almost all of the lower T14. Hitting median at the lower T14s would make you a very attractive applicant.

Go to Law School Numbers and change the graphs to last year and sort by urm for the t-14. Now the people on LSN may tend to have higher gpa and lsat numbers and as such there are not many on the graphs with 3.0 gpa. That said no one with a 3.0 gets into the t-14 according to the profiles that are posted (I only gave it a quick look). But you never know so get the highest lsat you can.

3.0 is good enough for gulc nu & uva with the right lsat
