Hello all. My GPA isn't a traditional 2.99... I have 89 semester credit hours of A's and B's, with 45 hours of A, and 28 hours of C's & D's. What LSAT score would I need to be considered in HYS and the t-14? I am an AA male. Pretty good softs.

You're probably not going to HYS with that GPA, sorry man.

A 167 should get you into Cornell or GULC. A 169 gives you a decent shot at pretty much everything from Chicago down.

165 MIGHT get you GULC or Cornell at Sticker. You need to gun for high 160s if you want a worthwhile t-14 scenario.

No chances in the T5? I need to focus on the bottom?

Wait are you saying it is a 2.99?

If so, anyway to bump to a 3.0?? That tenth of a difference can put NYU and even UChicago at play, so long as it's paired with at least a mid- to high 160s LSAT.

If it's 2.99, yes, you're looking at the bottom of the T14s, including Michigan.

GPA is very crucial, especially for AAs. T-14s seem to generally set the bar for AAs at around 3.5. The further you are below that bar, the harder it is to get in.

This is why every little bit makes a difference. A 3.0+ is much better than anything south of 3.0. Even then, you're looking at an uphill battle.

With a 2.99, you'll probably need at least a 165 to have a generally solid chance at a t-14, and even then only those in the lower half. I'd call a 162/163 the absolute minimum you'd need to have a chance at Cornell or GULC, based on what I've read here and at LSN.
