If you were PTing in the low to mid-160s, you owe it to yourself to retake. I know that the prospect of retaking absolutely sucks (trust me, I went through it myself), but a 165 could get you CCN or even HYS.

The 2 point lsat drop is insignificant.

You will regret not retaking for the rest of your life if you dont.

A 3.3/156 landed Cornell with a 105k scholarship last cycle. African American female.

But like the others above me indicated, you owe it to yourself to retake even if this means pushing back to December's LSAT. Make sure you're practicing in a range that allows for cushion, for example if your goal is 165 you shouldn't sit the exam unless consistently testing above that, say 167+.

Retake man, you owe it to yourself after pulling a 3.5 in undergrad.

I was in pretty much the same place last year and retook the LSAT. It sucks taking the LSAT 3 times but if you can get a higher score it's worth it. And I can't be 100% sure but I don't think it made too much of a difference that I took the test 3 times.

You crack 160 and you're looking at a world of difference.

You need to retake and study hard.

If OP insists on not retaking (or doesn't perform better than his previous 156), it looks like Cornell is a viable option.

Is OP male. I can almost guarantee that most of those admits are male with OPs numbers. I go there (cornell) and they definitely aren't hurting for females.

Just wondering, how long (hours per week) did you study and for how many weeks? You should really try to create a study plan that works better for yourself. Good job maintaining a 3.5 tho, golden for AAs.

Applying before thanksgiving is generally much better than applying in january. You can see the difference on lsn.

However urms under both medians usually don't get accepted until late in the cycle, presumably because adcomms want to see the whole crop of urms first. So TLS conventional wisdom says application timing matters less for urms.

If you don't think you will have hit your ceiling by October, DO NOT take the lsat in october. Especially since you've already taken twice. Applying in January with an higher score is better than apply on thanksgiving with a lower score.

Is it considered ill advised to still apply early and advise the school there is a pending lsat? Or does that vary based on if there are multiple lsats?

This. Don't force yourself to sit for the October LSAT if you're not fully prepared. Also (and speaking from personal experience), URM applications have a greater chance of being seriously considered later in the admissions cycle by AdComms than those of their non-URM counterparts. Applying in the beginning of January as a URM will not have a horribly adverse effect on your cycle.

Get those apps in asap. Decent shot at H, you'll definitely get multiple T14 acceptances.
