Is T14 within my reach?

I'm an AA Male, I don't know what schools to apply too. I haven't taken my LSAT yet, I'll be taking in in December( Going to enroll in a Blueprint classroom course). I have a 3.8 and decent softs( volunteered at a hospital for 2 years, volunteered at a nonprofit law firm, athletics throughout college, and am a Spanish speaker). What LSAT score would put me in reach of a T14 school. My counselor told me 160+ would but I'm not sure if that's the case. Any advice would be appreciated!

Yes you are well within reach. Aim for 180, but a score in the 160s should be enough. 170 would open HYS for you if I'm not mistaken but double check me

You're virtually guaranteed a bite with a 160, and honestly I wouldn't be surprised to get a bite with even lower than that. Mid 160's and CCN is basically a lock with HS also within reach.
You really should be aiming for 170+ with that GPA. AAs are such a hot commodity that it would almost be a waste to go to a lower T14 with that GPA. You're probably a lock at H with a mid high 160 score so study your ass off.

You're going to do incredibly well as long as you hit 165+ LSAT. This cycle 165/3.5 was more or less a lock at H for AAs, so put together a good app and you'll pretty much have it, along with $$ @ CCN, pretty much in pocket.

You'll only need about a 159 to be in reach of the T14. Hit a 160 or higher and you'll be set for a T14. 165+ is what you'll need to lock yourself into HYS contention, though you'll be in reach with a slightly lower score than that (162-164 scores with your GPA have been known to occasionally get into Harvard).

Thanks! I definitely will be studying like its no tomorrow. I never knew AA males were sought after in admissions.

With your 3.8, getting at least a 165 would make you a lock for H and S. (Yale is a crapshoot for virtually everyone, but I imagine you'd get accepted there with at least a 170.)

I'll be praying and studying like no other for a great score! Why is Yale so difficult for everyone?

I just get so frustrated because I tried to self study and felt lost! I got discouraged but I came to my senses and am enrolling in a prep course. I just see all the stories of 15-20 point jumps and hope I'm one of them.
