First Nation Peoples?

I'm in the process of becoming a member of a Mi'kmaq First Nation Band -- an Atlantic-region Canadian tribe. Great-Grandparent was Mi'kmaq. Would membership in such a tribe have any bearing on my application for, say, finaid, grants, acceptance, etc?

yes. it would make a great deal of difference at acceptances. financial aid im not sure but i'm sure there at NA scholarships you would qualify for.

I'm also have Legacy potential at my target school (stepfather is a GW law alum).
Should I just pull the trigger on an application?
