Georgetown
I've heard a lot about how bad of an idea for URMs, even others that are not URM, to go to Georgetown. Why is Georgetown a bad idea?

Re: Georgetown
I think people love to hate on GULC in general because 1) it's at the bottom of the T14, 2) it's got a huge class size which makes job-hunting from there a little harder, and 3) an assumption that if you can get into GULC you at least have a chance at other T14s.
It's not a bad idea under the right circumstances. For instance, if they were the only T14 to give you a large scholarship, they'd be a good idea.

They also seem to have one of the best PI programs in the lower t14 (almost guaranteed summer PI funding, crazy LRAP if you make under 75k, etc.). So I'd say it's a good idea if you're 85-100% set on PI.
