Will not writing a diversity statement hurt my URM boost?

Agreed. While my PS also reflected my ethnic/cultural background, I took the opportunity to submit a diversity statement too. While you shouldn't rehash what you already wrote, I'm positive you could use the space to add something else unique/diverse about you that could potentially persuade another member of the admissions committee. They're all about the whole package - go into it knowing you didn't leave anything on the table (so to speak). Good luck.blackandstrong wrote:Nice personal statement, OP.
I would still include a diversity statement, though. A diversity statement, to me, is about how YOU will specifically foster a more diverse atmosphere in law school.

The point of a DS is to share information about how you'd add diversity to the school, and is only necessary if you're not already giving that info in the PS. They just need the info for it to help you, it doesn't really matter where you put it.
