Third Retake: 157, advice please?

Hello, I've posted my stats before. I am an AA female with a 3.1 and a 157 LSAT score. Sadly, beginning right before the test I was PT-ing in the 162-168 range. I have no idea how I fumbled the exam for the third time. I've run out of tries until next October. But, now I'm discouraged. I am reconsidering law school altogether. I have been told to still try to apply this cycle, but I'm unsure if it's even worth it. I have been seeing on this forum that it's not possible in the economy to receive a good paying job with a degree from a lower ranked school. I was hoping to at least be in the T20-T50 range.

I see it as having 3 options.

1. Take a year off and work/go to grad school or both. Apply with work experience under my belt or a supplemental GPA (I know UGPA is all that counts)
2. Apply this cycle and hope for the best
3. Or a combination of both.

Would retaking the LSAT for a fourth time after a year off be taboo?

At this point I would say go ahead and apply to many schools in your range. I'm sure you will get into some. I would write an LSAT addendum stating why you may do lower on test days than practice days but again I would apply to schools now. so option 2. Don't be discouraged!

IMO, you should take a year off and WORK. Dont go to grad school. Most likely not worth the debt if you want to practice law.

You definitely should retake the LSAT. Especially since you are capable of scoring much better.
