3.3 GPA AA female -science major

Hello all,
I had trouble my freshman year (was a chemical engineering major and hated it), my grades suffered terribly. I will be writing an addendenum to explain that situation, I'll graduate this December (double major in bio/psych) and if everything goes well, I should end up graduating with a 3.3. That is low for law school applications, but I'm quite proud of where I've come from. Will law schools take into account my science courses in regards to my GPA; for example, this semester I am taking two neuro courses. Or do they take into account the GPA only, no matter the course taken?
Also, ill be taken the LSAT in December. Not particularly interested in T14 law schools, I'd prefer to stay in Texas for personal reasons. I'm thinking about TWU, UH, UT, TSU (last choice). If I do go out of state, I'd like to apply to Howard, NCCU, maybe Columbia?
What are you alls thoughts on my chances?
