How do schools view URMs (residents and citizens) that do not have a GPA (undergrad completed overseas) but advanced degrees in the US?

Probably by their LSAT scores. LSAC does offer assessments of foreign undergraduate grades. I can't recall the terms, but LSAC should provide details on their website.

Like CW said, it shifts more importance on to their LSAT.

Thanks... Does that mean schools would be more lenient toward a URM with a score in the 70's with a US undergrad GPA vs the one that does not have one? And does that mean the second group does not get the same LSAT boost?
I understand a GRAD gpA does not factor in the stats, but can't that be used to evaluate applicants' aptitude?

Think of your GPA as median, since it wont affect the school's GPA median. You would be at a slight disadvantage against others who are above both medians. If youre LSAT is under the median, you will be at a big disadvantage. You are at an advantage over anyone with the same LSAT and a GPA below median. If your LSAT is at or above median, that would be equivalent to being at or above both medians, which would mean you would be in really good shape, especially if you are a URM.
